SUBMITTING AN ABSTRACT

1. You are required to log in to the system before submitting an abstract. You will be asked to complete a form with your contact information and automatically you will be sent an access code to your e-mail address; this allows the system to check if the e-mail address is operational. With the access code you may log in to the system at any time before the deadline to submit a new abstract, amend submitted abstracts, withdraw an abstract or to see a list of all your submitted abstracts. If you forget your code, click the reminder link “Forgot your code?” and your code will be emailed to you.
2. Once logged in to the system, click “Submit a new abstract”. You will then be taken through the abstract submission process. Follow the on screen instructions as you move from step to step. Please answer ALL mandatory questions, as failure to do so will result in your abstract not being submitted for the conference. Instructions for formatting abstracts are available here.
3. Confirmation of receipt of abstract. When you have successfully submitted your abstract you will see a confirmation screen and an email will be sent to you within 24 hours to confirm that your abstract has been received. If you do not receive an email of confirmation, please contact the ISoP 2008 Conference Secretariat at: secretaria@mariagraziani.com

Amending a submitted abstract

Abstracts can be amended on-line at any time before the deadline (on 29th June 2008).

Log back in to the system and click on “Amend” button for the abstract title shown below ‘Your Submitted Abstracts’. Re-submit the amended abstract (this will replace the previous abstract submitted).

Withdrawing an abstract

Abstracts can also be withdrawn on line before the deadline (on 29th June 2008). If so, please contact the ISoP 2008 General Secretariat by email, fax or post:

The deadline for abstract submission is 29th June 2008

Abstracts will be reviewed by the ISoP 2008 Scientific Committee, and its decision will be notified to authors in July 2008.

Scientific Committee’s decisions will be based upon evaluation of its scientific standard The Scientific Committee will allocate each accepted abstract to the most appropriate form of presentation.

After selection, all presenting authors will be sent full information regarding PowerPoint preparation, poster size, style and layout, as appropriate. All posters accepted for the Annual Meeting are eligible for the poster prizes which will be awarded for the three best posters at the 8th ISoP Annual Meeting.

Accepted abstracts which have been received by the submission deadline will be published in ISoP’s official journal, Drug Safety.
