BURSARIES
ISoP 2008
The International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP) offers some financial assistance to young researchers in pharmacovigilance from emerging countries* (maximum age 40 years, from universities or research institutions) and full-time students (maximum age 30 years) who wish to attend the 8th ISoP Annual Meeting in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 5-8 October 2008.
To be eligible for a grant, an applicant:
- must be member of ISoP (or have applied for membership of ISoP by 30 June, 2008)
- must be presenting an oral or poster communication at the Annual Meeting (one applicant per abstract will be accepted)
Applications for Bursaries
Delegates who may be eligible should apply to the Grants Committee by e-mailing administration@isoponline.org with
- an application letter with reference submitted abstract number (s)
- a short Curriculum Vitae describing current active work
- one reference from a supervisor
- full time students must also supply proof of full time student status
Documents can be also sent by fax to + 44 (0)203 256 0027.
The application letter should also describe the support needed to cover expenses.
For the successful applicants, reimbursement will be made upon receipt of invoices/travel expenses after the conference.
ISoP will ask you to report your experience at the ISoP 2008, or what you have learnt to a wider scientific body in your country.
The deadline for applications is 30 June, 2008. If the application with requested documents is not received by 30 June 2008, it will not be accepted for consideration by the Grants Committee. Regrettably, ISoP cannot allow exceptions to this rule.
ISoP will inform applicants of the outcome of their application by the beginning of August 2008.
